Service Description
Join us for five weeks of fun, engaging sports where your child will make new friends, and learn skills they won't forget! How does it work? Each day we introduce a soccer skill (passing, dribbling, shooting) coupled with a mindful technique (breathing, visualizing, etc.). We practice for half of the time and finish with a refereed game. This allows the family to show up in a busy schedule, and for the child to get the full experience of a match with the best spectators at their side. How are we different? Our curriculum is lead by Sebastian, who has played soccer for over two decades and taught it for more than half of those. He is always patient to show each child how they can grow in the field, and how to take those lessons home. The emphasis on sportsmanship, on play over competition, and on observing ourselves instead of frustration: this makes for a really fun and light environment, where the children themselves want to learn more. Fun-Centered: We care about your child on and off the field. We teach by playing, because that is most fun! And it is also scientifically the best way to learn, encouraging children to take on obstacles for their own curiosity and self-growth. Adapted to each Child: Smaller children need more imagination and games, and older more advanced players can benefit from visualization for high-level concepts. Each cohort is different and we are active listeners to understand how we can grow together in the game of soccer, and as a team, a community. We care about our physical well-being, as much as our mental and we even consider what the economic health of our community means also. We only consume sustainable, and local and constantly ask ourselves what should be our area of focus. The estimated starting times: Ages 3-4 / 9am-10am Ages 5-7 / 9am-11am Ages 8-10 / 10am-12pm Ages 11-12/ 10am-12pm We begin each class learning a fundamental skill in practice, and end the day with testing what we learned with a friendly match. This is a great opportunity where technical skills supplement leadership, teamwork, and also the emotional capacity to say "let me try again, I got this". To further strengthen this confidence we add breathing, meditation and mindfulness exercises that help the kids see how the field is a safe space to practice invaluable life skills. We always focus on respect, teamwork and fun over competition. Please email us any questions, and if you have an economic need to see if we can lower our price.
